Sportbuffet Joham
How a 30-year-old Graz institution achieved PageSpeed 100, ranks two brand names simultaneously on Google, and fully digitised its enquiry process — in under 4 weeks.

Sportbuffet Joham stands for daily fresh sandwiches, professional event catering, healthy school buffets and a canteen directly at Gaußgasse in Graz. Quality was never the issue — digital visibility was. We changed that.
The brief
The company faced three concrete problems: First: An outdated website that no longer worked. The existing web presence was technically obsolete and converted poorly. Potential customers searching for catering or sandwich orders in Graz landed on a page that neither built trust nor encouraged enquiries. Second: A rebrand with SEO risk. The company had been known for years as Sportbuffet Kous — a name established in Graz that existing customers actively searched for. The name change to Sportbuffet Joham threatened to lose this built-up search engine capital. Third: No digital enquiry process. Enquiries ran exclusively by phone — unstructured, time-consuming and not scalable. Customer statistics or data? Non-existent.
Our approach
We deliberately chose against a classic CMS like WordPress. For a local business with a clear service offering, a lightweight, statically generated setup was the right choice: maximum load speed, no plugin security vulnerabilities, full SEO control. Dual-brand SEO strategy: Instead of ignoring "Sportbuffet Kous", we actively integrated the old name into texts, metadata and a dedicated homepage section explaining the transition. Anyone searching for the old name finds the new one. Both names rank. Full SEO setup: Schema.org JSON-LD, OpenGraph, Twitter Cards, sitemap, robots directives, geo meta tags — individually configured on each of the 12 pages. Contact form with automatic email system: On form submission, two structured HTML emails are sent simultaneously — a notification to the business with all enquiry details and a confirmation to the customer. The business can reply directly without searching for the information again.
The outcome
An SEO-strong, mobile-first website that clearly communicates the rebrand and funnels catering enquiries into one single place. For the first time, the business has real-time data on visitors, traffic and page performance — enabling decisions based on actual numbers rather than gut feeling.
The results
“We didn't expect a new website to make such a difference. Within a short time we received significantly more structured enquiries, and the best part: we now finally know what's happening on our website. The collaboration was straightforward, fast and the result exceeded all our expectations.”— Petra Joham, Graz

Rebrand without SEO reset
The most common mistake in rebranding: bet everything on the new name and let the old one go. We did the opposite — and both names benefit. The built-up search engine capital of Sportbuffet Kous stays intact.
Performance is not optional
A PageSpeed Score of 100 isn't just a technical number. It's directly measurable in ranking, bounce rate and user trust. Giving up on performance means giving up potential — especially in local search results.
Automation pays off even at small scale
An automatic email system for enquiries costs little extra development effort — but saves the business time permanently and leaves a more professional impression than any phone call.
